...when you see the word "Arise" on a flyer for a Christian "Vision Camp" in your college's Campus Center and think that it says "Anime" from a short distance away. (Yes, that really did just happen a little while ago. -_-;) An alternative lesson could be, don't look at fliers late at night... *finally going to sleep*
To be fair, anime would make Christianity so much cooler. Especially if Jesus' apostles were hotblooded mecha pilots.
ReplyDeleteWAT?
ReplyDeleteRandom..but yeah. It's funny.
ReplyDeleteLOL. You should write a "You Know That You Watch Too Much Yuri..." ^_^
ReplyDelete@ Snark- Brilliant! (hint hint to any anime studios looking for fresh ideas- King of Heaven GaoGaiGod?) But alas, I think the closest we'll get will be Eva. :P
ReplyDelete@ Kairu and Alkaid- Yup, this post is pretty random. lol Just felt like recording this profound moment for posterity, in my semi-conscious daze.
@ Yaya-chan- Nice idea! :) I could use it for a future post.
"King of Heaven GaoGaiGod"
ReplyDeleteYou are the most brilliant person to ever walk the face of this earth. From this day hence, I will keep a medal on me at all times, so that I can give it to you should I ever see you in real life.
Haha, I can see how "arise" may look like anime.
ReplyDeleteCertain terms now have a slightly different meaning to me than before I started to watch a bunch of anime, like bleach, mango, lilies...
You know you watch too much anime when you read the word "Arise" 5 times before you realize it means a verb and not a Japanese name. 'Interesting they would have a Japanese name on there' is what I thought, truly. Amazing what my brain can ignore.
ReplyDelete@ Snark- I'm honored. lol ^^
ReplyDelete@ Yi- I'm there with you regarding "bleach" and "lilies." (But mango?)
@ Vickie- LOL Your story beats mine. XD
Some people prefer to refer anime and manga as animu and mango. I don't really know when/ where that started though...
ReplyDelete@ Yi- Ohh... Thanks! ^^ I knew about "animu", but didn't know about "mango."
